respect for garment workers and others in the fashion industry.

The biggest applause to the garment workers and fashion industry. Why? because in my days of fashion I have been working on making things, cause I don't think I'm ready for clothes yet. Anyone in fashion industry that makes clothes and knows everything there is to making clothes, I wanna say "thank you". thank you, cause if it weren't for you people I wouldn't be wearing this nice shirt.
Image result for fashion sketch of flowing dresses                 But, in all seriousness I think doing clothes is a challenge. Not a big bad challenge. Believe me it's a bit hard to remember where everything goes, how everything works, why is it important to do that, and How to do this and that. N' you're constantly moving, communicating, making mistakes, trying your best, and most importantly having fun with the people you're working with. Have people that are in the same boat as me really makes me feel much more comfortable and confident with what I'm doing.
During my time here working in fashion, I have learned the invisible stitch and many other stitches, how to use the sewing machine and the names of the parts, how to put together a pin cushion, and how to just be creative. Being fashion has really made me open up, learn, discover new things and way of how to do something, and how to put together your a beautiful dress you visioned.
Being in fashion isn't a walk in the park, but it's an exciting ride~.

New York Fashion Week Live Sream// Sep 7 \\

New York's fashion show on September said to be a good show, in which I agree that, yes. It was indeed a good show. Though there were some dresses in the beggining that made me question "who would wear that" but in a way those types I saw and disliked might have been a very nice dress to someone.
When carried on and in my opinion the show became much at 04:35 int he video. The colors were being used in a calm way and made the dresses look flow and smooth. Then it went back to being rough and mix match.
Image result for bibhu mohapatra               The dresses I liked the most were 1. The red long dress at 08:50. I felt like the dress was greatly made with such beauty in it, the dress looked so relaxing to look at, and it looked to comfortable to wear. In my opinion. another I like, 2. at 04:47 this dress that came out looked absolutely gorgeous, the dress looked free, colorful (almost like a flower), and looked like it could be worn by anyone. Finding a dress that looked like it could be worn by anyone is hard to find because not many dresses look like so. The last dress I liked in this show is 3. Is the pink sparkly short dress at 06:54 int he video. The pink dress looked extremely adorable, fabulous, and had glam. I would differently wear a dress like that.
All dresses were designed by Bibhu Mohapatra. Bibhu Mohapatra is a New York based fashion designer and costume designer. His creations have been featured in many fashion magazines including In-Touch Magazine. Bibhu has 3 siblings. Lopa Mohapatra, Bijoy Ram, and Bijoy Bikram. Bibhu went to Fashion Institute of technology, Utah state university.

community service projects that help others.

You do not get paid to perform community service, but volunteer your time. Community service can help many different groups of people: children, senior citizens, people with disabilities, even animals and the environment. Community service is often organized through a local group. Many people participate in community service because they enjoy helping others and improving their community.
Image result for flower in a vase drawing         There are numerous benefits to participating in community service, both for yourself and others.
  • Gives you a way to help others
  • Helps improve your community
  • Can help strengthen your resume and college applications
  • Can be a way to meet new friends
  • Often results in personal growth
  • Gives you a way to gain work experience and learn more about certain jobs
Many community service activities can help you gain skills. These skills can range from teaching to medicine to construction and more. If there is a particular skill you'd like to learn for future classes, jobs, or just out of personal interest, you may want to see if there is a community service activity that helps you learn that skill.
Some general ideas on how you can help is either, Donate or raise money for your local Red Cross, Organize a community blood drive, or Send cards to soldiers serving overseas.

Helping Children and Schools by Tutor children during or after school, Donate stuffed animals to children in hospitals, or Organize games and activities for children in hospitals or who are visiting hospitalized relatives. Helping Senior Citizens by Read to residents at a nursing home, Deliver groceries and meals to elderly neighbors, or Teach computer skills to the elderly.Helping Animals and the Environment by Take care of cats and dogs at an animal shelter, Clean up a local park, or Raise money to provide a bulletproof vest for a police dog.

The opportunities are endless. Everything that I listed has even more things you could do and could just really help our world/community be a better and safer place.

Grunge style.

What is in style right now? well, the style that is getting much, much love right now is the grunge look. I love it! I love how the colors look dark, the outfit looks a bit punk,  and how the person just looks so sassy with it.
Image result for grunge wear tumblr
The grunge look can either look like punk or a bit loose, to me it looks like it has both, and I love it! I don't have a grunge outfit, yet. But, if I do I'll get a pair of ripped light shorts, black tights, a black v-neck or nirvana shirt, cause I'm also in love with Nirvana. A dark green jacket or black leather jacket, a beanie, black vans, and a dark brown hand purse. Then having the right makeup to finish that hot look would totally perfect it 100%.
"Grunge" is used to define a specific moment in twentieth-century music and fashion. In 1980s, grunge went to have global implications for alternative bands and do-it-yourself (DIY) dressing. While grunge music and style were absorbed by a large youth following, its status as a self-conscious subculture is debatable. People who listened to grunge music did not refer to themselves as "grungers" in the same way as "punks" or "hippies."
The word "grunge" dates from 1972, but did not enter popular terminology until the birth of the Seattle sound, a mix of heavy-metal, punk, and good old-fashioned rock and roll, in the late 1980s. Many musicians associated with grunge credit their exposure to early punk bands as one of their most important influences.
Like San Francisco in the 1960s, Seattle in the 1980s was a breeding ground for music that spoke to its youth.
The youth movements most often associated and compared to grunge-hippie and punk-were driven both by music and politics. Punks and hippies used music and fashion to make strong statements about the world and are often referred to as "movements" due to this political component. While the youth of 1980s Seattle were aware of politics, grunge was fueled more by self-expression-sadness, disenchantment, disconnectedness, loneliness, frustration-and perhaps was an unintentional movement of sorts.
Grunge was dressing down at it's most extreme, taking casualness and comfort dressing to an entirely new level.

Why have T-Shirts been popular styles with teens for a very long time? will this change anytime soon?

This wonderful classic T-shirt has been in trend for many years, it has faded, came back, and came back hard. The year 1931 was when it was barley used but it was used by the army, they would wear the T-shirt under their Navy deep, V-necked, short-sleeved, white cotton under shirt. The navy men had to wear it under their deep V-necked shirt because of its shape, and because of it's shape it was called a "T".
The T-shirt has come a long way in fashion and  I strongly believe that the T-shirt fashion would never fade, cause it is so being used this year, and worn by many people; even famous people.
Image result for t shirt fashion sketch        At the late 1930s, companies including Hanes, sears, and fruit of the loom started to market the shirts. Sears proclaimed that the undershirt could also be worn as an outer garment, in 1938. The short- sleeved T-shirts gained popularity among the soldiers because of their greater absorption under the arms of comfort and under backpacks, in WW2.
The T-shirts then gained more popularity in the 1950s, going to go see the movie classic A streetcar Named Desire and James dean in the movie Rebel without a cause, there Marlon Brando wore a T-shirt to go see the movie, there it gained much more eyes.
No matter how people wear them, they have become a staple of most everyone's wardrobe.
You can match anything with a T-shirt and that's why it's so great, my favorite color of the T-shirt is the light blue. I like to wear it with black or light skinny jeans, and my tan thin jacket. T-shirts will never go out style! how could you not love the T-shirt love?!

What is avant-garde fashion?

Avant- garde style first appeared in the architecture and culture. Sometimes it is quite difficult to define avan-garde. as a fashion style was born in japan. This style is characterized by straight geometric or shapeless silhouettes.
Image result for avant garde fashion sketches          The basic color in Avant-garde style is black. The avant-garde style is using all style this style is designed for bright and creative people who want to stand out from the crowd.
Avant-garde project continues to sum up the avant-garde fashion weeks of the FW 2015 season.
Avant-garde art is a new postwar style, originated in youth circles. Its is valuable for it's dynamic shapes and color, running on contrast. The colors are perfect. These are white and black, green and yellow, and red. The forms are not ornate, but rather geometrical. Basically, a sphere, cube, rings are used. The record in avant-garde art was set by the supermatist composition by wassily kandinsky in 2008 at Sotheby's.
There are three main trends in avant-garde fashion. first, direction of avant-garde in fashion is minimalism. There are only simple materials and shapes. Minimalism in fashion, as a rule, does not use more than one color.
Second, direction is conceptualism. if you admit that there are clothes not for wearing but for contemplation, you realize the true meaning of conceptualism. It was created for the sake of self-realization. You can embody any idea or concept in such collection of clothes. Clothes can be manufactured not only from fabrics, but from any material, like paper, cellophane or metal plates.
The third direction in avant-garde style is deconstruction. If conceptualism can be called classic in avant-garde style, deconstruction is a direction which destroys all centuries-old standards and rules of taste and style. This trend is inherent in critical outlook. The philosophy of deconstruction slips on the verge of playing in associations. Deconstruction on the catwalk is a game of fragments, expressed in the asymmetric, formless, non-standard solutions. For example, you can see a double-sided jacket with one sleeve.
Avant-garde style is an experiment in clothes and fashion in general. This experiment extends the fashion boundaries. (Pic credit to: fashionfad.in )

Is NYFW a good place to bring up awareness to global issues? Is there room for different types of models on the runway?

A smiling reshma Quereshi, 19, opened the FTL moda show on Thursday. Indian model scarred in acid attack challenged perceptions of beauty as she strutted down the runway at New York fashion week. The woman worn a long-sleeve, white, gown with embroidered appliques by Indian designer Archana Kochhar during her first trip to United states.
About 1,500 acid attacks are reported each year. Shah said limiting the sale of acid, punishments for attackers, and compensation and care for survivors, are needed. People like Quereshi speaking out is also very important, he said. Reshma Quereshi hopes her turn on the catwalk will inspire hope and confidence in other acid attack survivors and spur counties to regulate the sale of cheap and easily available acids.
India has the highest number of recorded attacks, which are often a form of revenge by jilted husbands or rejected suitors. Increasing diversity on the catwalk has been an aim of FTL moda. Australian model Madeline Stuart, who has down syndrome, made her runway debut at the FTL moda show last year.
Until late 1800s, "Modeling" was primarily a term. Charles Frederick Worth, who is considered by most to be the "father of haute couture," had his wife model his designs in the early 1850s. After Worth had begun using live models. The industry boomed. In 1946, Ford Models was created by Eileen and Gerard Ford.
Time has gone and modeling has changed, beauty is starting to fade into "natural beauty" Women's curves are starting to become beauty and stand along side with the "slim" model beauty girls. Reshma Quereshi is an example of natural beauty. Though she was attacked by acid, but she is still beautiful to everyone.

What is a fashion classic?

Image result for fashion sketches        The fashion classics are the best and are loved by many people. The outfits we love that goes into the fashion classic group is trench coats, button up long sleeve collar shirts, small black dress, and etc.
A lined trench coat being modeled in Eastern Germany, 1953. Invention of the trench coat is claimed by both Burberry and aquascutum, with aquascutum's claim dating back to the 1850s. The success of Burberry's water-resistant fabric was phenomenal. Orders flooded in the first major client being the British Army. Using his own designs for the War Officers' coats made 13 years beforehand for the war office, Burberry added shoulder straps and metal rings to his gabardine coat, and the trench coat was born.
In 1926, it was said that women used to wear black dresses while mourning... Until the age of coco Chanel, that is. She didn't create the concept, but it wasn't until Vogue published a sketch of the visionary's simple-yet-elegant design that it became popular.
A style refers to a particular design, shape, or type of garment or apparel item. A classic is a style that stays.

What is a fashion trend? Who or what do you think influences fashion trends? Do you think fashion trends are more likely to start in big cities than in smaller, more rural areas?

Fashion trends are a prevailing styles in behavior and the newest creations in textile designs.  The hit fashion trend that is still going around, is the fall fashion trend. The fall fashion trend stricken the hearts of many with their violet smooth colors and their comfy sweaters with jeans. The main trend that everyone loved is the fall sweaters, these sweaters. Sweaters? yes,. sweaters. Because everyone needs a warm sweater on once in a while, it's like a cuddle that stays on all day, and is fashionable to wear all day.
Image result for coco chanel fashion sketches
2nd place hot trend in the fall dresses, these dresses had a nice violet color that had a gentle flow to the bottom that diffidently stole the hearts of many. These dresses were the 2nd hottest in the fall fashion trend and is still trending, even after fall.

Then that's where the violet comes in, in the 3rd hottest trend. It was not only on the dress and sweaters, but even on other stuff that people worn around during the fall. like socks, bras, shirts, tank tops, and shorts. This color was all over the place as it trended and trended hard, in the fall.
But our fashion hero is the one and only Coco Chanel. She freed the women from corset, long dresses, and many other styles that Coco freed us from.

What "Needs" do you think Haute Couture satisfies?

Image result for fashion design sketches tumblr     At the very first moment that we were born, we all were given a personality, and in that personality we were all given "needs". Time passes and our personality changes, we develop new traits and add or replace traits, but the one thing that has never change, and never been erased is "needs".

We always"need" when it comes to fashion. Fashion will always drive the '"need" in a person out and in Haute Couture, it will always satisfy your need in any need. What does it satisfy? you might ask yourself  and the answer to that is, Haute Couture satisfies every need. Like, if you imagined a beautiful gown that has diamonds, long silky strands, had a color that made the dress look relaxing to look at and completely fabulous! then, Haute Couturest made that and you feel so satisfied, then that right there is a need that has been satisfied.

In the world of fashion, expect Haute Couture to bring your fashion fantasies to life. Haute Couture fashion people would think of gown faster than you could blink and have it made. They bring out the need in your fantasies and satisfy it in every way.
Haute Couture can satisfy any need a person has.
